Hi Jim,

I checked the Voltage at Black connector and it reads 12V's until the starter isturned and it drops to 10V's.

I don't know if this is the case on all Xantia's or just my motor.

Can we confirm same with anyone else

It's normal for the voltage to drop to 10V whilst cranking Kenny. This is due to the massive current draw by the starter motor.

Hi Jim,

Obviously my fault would appear to be between the grey connector where there was 10 volts and CC1 going into the fuse box.

I am going to run a new wire between the two and hopefully thats its sorted.

I was also thing about running a separate wire between the grey connector and CC2 going to double injection relay.

This would separate the 2 lines.

My only problem is waht casued this in the first place

Hi Jim,

The joint between CC & CC1 (ECC1), Is there anything else that runs from that joint as why have a joint in the first place

Hi All,

Success finally $\:D/$ , I ran a new wire from grey connector to CC1 at fuse box and that was that.

But my only concern is what was the original problem

Is this the non-starting, no fuel from the pump issue? What does your new wire provide as I'm not familiar with the connector to CC1 and fuse box you're referencing?

Hi Mike,

Yes, this was the starting issues I had.

It would appear the supply which runs from the igniton switch through the grey connector has a dry solder joint somewhere in the wiring behind the dash (ECC1). This joins wires CC and CC1. Wire CC1 runs into the fuse box.
When I checked the voltage going into the fuse box (fuse box under steering column) at the on position 12V, on trying to start engine voltage dropped to almost Zero.
I bypassed this by running a new wire between the grey connector and fuse box and resulting in a supply feed which basically keeps the double relay switch in the correct position to keep stop solenoid open and fuel supply reaches the injectors.

This may have been my problem in the first place
