Admin, can we please ban anyone not suggesting a big, hydropneumatic Citroen?
I'd go for a C6.
The most comfy car?

First post says a C6 is out of the question, too expensive.
C5 V6 it is then!
Are all V6 C5s in Exclusive SE spec? I would think so. If you can find a facelifted V6 then thats a very rare car.

Don't forget the the GTI Turbos had a slightly firmer ride than the n/a cars...but they're still comfy!Deanxm wrote:CX Turbo 2
The most comfortable CX that I have ever been in was an old relic-of-a-safari, with flat paintwork, rust and mould, but it had blue Pallas-type seats and that was just like one big armchair!

Ive been in a good few big luxury cars, a few S-Class Mercs, 7 series BMWs, numerous Rolls Royces, Bentleys etc etc, but for what they are, its very hard to fault an Xm or C5 in my opinion. Obviously some of the above cars are much more refined, but some dont offer the comfort. The C5 is more hushed at speed than the Xm and they do offer comfort for all. I would imagine a top spec C5 Exclusive SE with the V6 would be a very refined and comfortable car.
Ive been in a VelSatis and it was a very nice car to ride in, it was just the poverty 2.0 16v but it was still very nice.
R9UKE, you have another VelSatis!?

Yep Chris I completely agree, the C5 V6 makes for a great cruiser, packed full of toys as well.
Yes I have another! A 2.2 dCi which became a victim of Renault's typical turbo failure. I've sourced a turbo which will hopefully be fitted this week. It's a 53 reg with 30,000 miles and I got it for £500. It's literally in showroom condition minus the turbo!

Your joking, a Velsatis diesel with only 30K for £500! Your onto a winner with that. Though having turbo failure at such low mileage is very poor. It does make me wonder why a car made for many miles has covered so few and had such a serious fault. Was it a town unabout which didnt get serviced?
Anyhow, i bet thats going to make a cracking car once its done, is this going to be a keeper for you? At that money i wouldn't mind trying one myself!
