As per Guy up the thread, the bags rot at the folds.
They can come to do their bag testing here, as we have the highest musty carpet index.

As the 10 year airbag limit was about to kick in for Mk2 XM's (2005) Citroen issued the same 5 year life extension as the Pug one mentioned.
Seems to be general for all PSA cars.
Hopefully they are still life testing the original airbags so perhaps we get another 5 years life added sometime this year.
