Don't know about the Xantia, but reducing the pressure on the XM from 33 to 30 makes a significant difference, as does the type of tyre.

Just been out in that horrible icey snow for a gander at my xantia doorpillar tyre pressures for the front are 30 and rear are 34
if the car is fully loaded (and I dont mean silly boy racer rubbish all over it) the rear should be 38 psi.

hope this helps

regards Nigel.

Depends on the model, all three of my Xantia's have different specified pressures.

Likewise with the XM, hatch 33 front 28 rear. The estate is 33 front and rear, as its considerably heavier

Dave, which branch of GSF did you get your spheres from?......

On all AMTEX spheres the part number is written on the sphere itself. Dont go off the number on your invoice or the number on the box. They are easily mixed up.....Customers sometimes return goods in the wrong boxes. These can then eaisly be missed when putting them back in stock...results wrong part dispatched in the right box or vice versa

Double check the numbers if you can on the spheres and call GSF to ask them whether they are hydractive or non

You could read the numbers off the spheres, as a second option... :-k

Bizarre, Cassy, Dex, and my old LX, as with my hatchbacks, and all the charts I've seen have higher on the front than the rear. With only 30 on the front they'd look really flat, as it is with 34-36 psi fronts on a Xantia look under inflated anyway.
