Could possibly be the control panel, try disconnecting the small plug from the motor, see if it still runs. I changed a servo motor a few weeks ago because I couldnt control the temperature and what a pig that was - turned out to be the panel. :x

Think I'll try that today.
If I replace the climate control dial unit, should this solve the problem?

Is there such a thing as an ECU for the Heater/Aircon that might be at fault?

Yep, the ECU is part of the control panel.

As you know i bought second hand heater motor from scrap merchants and fitted it.
Still not fixed!
The heater motor is still on full blast.

Then i removed the heater control unit (the bit with all the dials on) unplugged it at the back and the heater was still going.

Is the heater always supposed to come on when the engine is running?

Any ideas on what the problem could be?

Sounds as though you have another faulty motor I'm afraid. The transistors in the regulator can go short circuit thus bypassing the control unit. Your best bet is to change the transistors and keep the other one as a spare - or change the transistors in that as well and sell it. :D :D

Oh Balls!!!!
Looks like I'm going to have to get the soldering iron out after all.

Are you sure this is the problem or at least 90% sure? :?
