Ah ha andrew FEAR NOT!!

I bought the V6 off David, no spoiler, however, Ive a customer down here, or up hereto you, with a 1997 R reg maritious blue 1.9td SX, S1, and of course run out Series 1 cars in SX form had Spoiler and alloys!!

However, the owner a keen biker, wanted a bike rack for his Xantia, and could only get one for a spoiler LESS rear, so he removed the spoiler, and I did a job for him, and asked about the spoiler, and he said, nope wont be needing it again, yes you can have it... and there we are, straight onto my car!!

I will get some pics up soon, time is not my side at the moment. But I am impressed with the body and paints condition for it's age, needs a good polish though.

I will see you around at some point paul, but doubtful this week as I am doing weird hours at work. You only work up the road to me now, you're in the old cooker factory now, i'm right down the road past the concrete bollards.

I should also note, the suspension on this xantia works much better than the ones i had before (all three being vsx/exclusive), it does go hard on the switch, subtly yes, but it works. It'll probably work better when i replace that accumulator sphere, there was plenty of air in the system when i citrobeotic'd it.

It's an anti sink (well as far as i know 'cos it hasn't sinked for me) and was registered in 09/94. Are the sinking ones the ones with the bigger pump? No air con, no cruise, no spoiler. If I had those i'd be happy. but cruise only comes with automatics right, if so thats my next project.

Oh and regarding the rear blind, it's there but the hook to hold it isn't there, has anyone got a picture for me, I have no idea whats missing that holds it?!

Thanks guys.

Nope, rear spoilers, interior trim etc etc has no bearing..

The clue is an HP Pump under your altinator with 1 rubber feed pipe and TWO outlet pipes...

Also Air Con has no bearing either, there was a VSX on a couple of weeks ago on an L 1994 plate WITH Air Con fitted from Factory..

I fitted mine myself, which was SIMPLE to do, the wireing was a bit harder, but I managed a Basic System..

drop links from a pug 309 apparently fit a xantia, i had a pair off my cousin and he swears they fit, they only covered 1000 miles, so for a tenner a pair it's a good bet.

as for the engine mounting, it's the little rubber pad at the back of the front driver side top mount (it's covered and then by the fuel pipe), so when i change gear quickly the metals hit, two problems solved already

accumulator sphere is no problem to change either, major problems sorted then, a clean and then some pics

thanks for all the collective comments and help so far (not just on this post but others related to my new car, no other forum is like this one).
