I thought about something that could be DIY'ed but you would need benchmark specs.

Three ¾" rollerised tubes mounted square onto a steel plate, with two riding on the belt's flat side and the third between them on the cogged face. This single roller would be on a cam adjustment, like a timing belt tensioner bearing. To get the belt tension you would use your inch-pounder on the cam-mounted roller tube. When the depressed portion of the belt just touched an anvil on the flat side and clicked off the inch-pounder, you'd be close enough.

It is an very old topic...but i have an problem.
My car is Renault Clio 2 D7F726 (Year 2006), but not related now...

I have an MOT 1273 C. Tronic g2 105.6 Guage measure Measured Value SEEM I buyed from 2nd hand market
Based on RTA and repair manuals should be set SEEM 20+/-3 (so between of 17-23). (very low value Anyway other book write 139 +/-3 Hz)
So it should be easy to use. But I have problem...
The repair manual write you sould turn the knob till 3 clicking....
No have ckicking sound... it is an second hand part.. so missing something from it?

Becasue without clicking noise i don't know how much should be turn the knob and how much force should be press the belt. So ifyou turn less value low, turn hard, Seem value is high

If you have this 105.6 ,105.5 or same like Guage measure tool, can you check inside? Missing something from that?
