Before dismissing the actual blower motor, have a quick run through the tests in this Guide.

Your problem might be that you are getting no fan run signal from the aircon ECU.

Is it possible to have an isolated problem with the blower motor resistor unit aswell, I mean, could this thing be a comon problem also, I dont see it mentioned anywhere and was just curious!

In any Xantia with aircon Mr. Matthews, the fan speed is controlled by a small electronic speed regulator attached to the blower motor housing. These do fail but thier normal failure mode is to cause the blower to run at top-speed constantly with no ability to switch it off. They might also fail so the blower will not run but personally I've never heard of one failing like this though.

The speed regulators are quite amenable to repair if it is duff.

Well, I found the green relay that is under the accelerator pedal, this turned out to be the electric mirrors relay!
