Just remember a basic thing on diesels : because of the finite time of the flame frontier on diesel fuel to expand, there is also a finite usable max rpm on a diesel.
This is considerably lower than on petrols. You wont get any pullpower beyond some 4400 rpm from a diesel, inherent by the principle of diesel operation.
Just to remind you, so you dont stay puzzled in the near future ...

But the fun is to pull away from just about anything at 1500rpm and up ... :lol:

Fun is what I like and I think the xantia diesel has lots to offer.

I thought I'd read it was the weight of the moving parts that limited the revs - but I don't thrash it past 4.3K. I think I'll have to see a dyno reading because I can't make my mind up about useful power after 4K.

p.s. Anders, I read about a BX TD N2O test - it almost halved the 0-60 time on a moderate jet size :lol:
