How to remove Xantia anti-sink sphere?

Pete,

Don't worry about it - had to order the new pipe, seals and nuts from a Citroen dealer today.

Went under the car first thing this morning to have a look at that 3.5mm pipe, nudged it and the pipe crumbled at the other end, LHM everywhere. :oops:

I just hope that this is not a sign of things to come.

The pipe going into the anti sink sphere is 4.5mm.

For future reference, the easiest way by far that I have found to remove, is to use a 9mm Snap on flank drive spanner (much better than any flare nut spanner) undo the pipe by about 1 turn, then put a band wrench on the sphere and undo, whilst holding the pipe fitting still with the spanner, this way both will undo together.
