Xantia V6 Overheating

I finally got around to playing with the Bitron on my Mk 1 Xantia V6, and the Bitron is definitely below the LH headlight.Stempy wrote:The Bitron cooling control module on the V6 is in the box with the engine and suspension ecu.
A bit of Servisol sprayed into the connector seems to have cured the intermittant temperature warning light, which had been getting quite frequent. The A/C seems to be blowing colder as well!
There are a couple of beefy relays in the ECU box on the RH side of the engine compartment, what system do they control? one of them looks like it has been overheating, as the plastic case has a bulge in the top.

This is purely speculation but they could be the heated seat control units. You could try unplugging them and if the seats dont get warm you have your answer.
It infuriates me to be wrong when I know I'm right
