Not passing urine is not such a big thing in the grand scale of things. I had a problem last year for six weeks to do with the diabetes. Eventually everything started working of its own accord. Asking why this all happened the hospital didn't really know. There were about a dozen of us there with catheters fitted, all removed and all working normally. It's almost like the waterworks decided to have a break.

Latest update: "Hi. Dad's BP is under control again and he is passing urine really well again. For now, Dad is off the sedation again! Although he is now on more oxygen than he has been recently. Dad's hair is coming out in clumps, even his eyebrows. XX".

Latest update; "Morning. Dad has had a better night, he has been given meds for his heart rate, and a little bit of morphine for pain relief. But he is not sedated now, we think! XX".

Latest update; "Hi. Dad was put back on dialysis last night to support his kidney function, but it seems to be working as this morning his potassium levels are down as is his heart rate. He is sedated again, and was when we went in last night. Dad's temperature was up last night also. XX".

Latest update; "Hi all. Dad is still on dialysis awaiting the ultra scan of his abdomen. They think the blood vessels to Dad's liver may be blocked (cannot remember what they called it). It is a result of the chemotherapy. Oh... they are giving Dad drugs to help stimulate his bone marrow to make blood. XX".

"Hi, no changes to report this morning."

"Hi all. Dad is still very jaundiced. This, they think, is caused by some of the drugs Dad is being given blocking the blood vessels to the liver. If it does not improve soon they are going to investigate further. They are going to leave the dialysis off to see how Dad copes. Dads' white blood cell count is no better even though they have been giving Dad a drug to help stimulate it. XX".
