A little snippet of news about the Fawley refinery from earlier in the month....
Fawley refinery warns of possible blue flares noise
"People living near an oil refinery have been warned to expect noise and see blue flares burning while it powers up a new hydrogen plant.
Fawley Refinery, near Southampton, said it expected to start up the new low sulphur diesel production unit over the coming days.
ExxonMobil said: "The use of our flares is completely safe, but you may also hear some additional noise, which we are working hard to minimise."

I know the Woolwich ferry very well. I worked in both the towers. The machinery room at the top was an amazing site to see.

Taken about 5 minutes ago - the calm before the storm. The weather forecasters are saying up to about 6 feet of rain tonight.... or some other vague and meaningless figure

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
Does that mean that by the morning we'll all be 6 foot under?

I've never thought about the possibility of a shallow grave!

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
Many years ago I had to dig a grave*. Bloody hell, that was hard work into flinty chalk
*- Absolutely legitimately - nothing dodgy going on, the cem were short staffed and busy and couldn't get the machine into the plot so it had to be hand dug. It's a strange feeling - lying in the botom of a grave, looking up

It's a bit like one of my neighbours I'd imagine - he often comes home from work in the back of a hearse...
He's a pall bearer...
Nice spot Ryan

Belvoir Castle
Taken at maximum zoom from here:
Quite a commanding spot to build a castle
The surrounding countryside is rather easy on the eye...

Following Jim's comment here, I thought you might like to see the work produced by my friend in Elstree for SWMBO's garden!!
