Do Easydiagnostics only sell full chip versions? They won't even supply the partial chip versions by request (even if the choice is accidental)?

Tried to run mine but when attempting a global test it was not recognising any of the ecu's.

In the past I did get some of the ecu's recognised with the fault codes but nothing now.

It does identify the car and obtains the VIN but I can't go any further.

That sounds like it has been deactivated Kenny!
Close down Diagbox. The try copying your original licence file (Appdiag.sys) back to C:\AWROOT\BIN\FI\
Overwrite the file when prompted and then try and relaunch the programme and try another global test.

Worth a shot Kenny - all it takes is to go into an area where you need to record a Technician ID prior to making a change (for logging) and that is enough to deactivate the system - even if you don't proceed. Just cancelling the action can deactivate the whole system - reinstating the licence file usually solves this.

Marc,

It worked for my X7 but tried the C3 62 plate and I got to the global test which ran but did not recognise any of the ecu's.

I'm thinking I might need to reload diagbox again.

What do you think ?

So that would be a 2012 / 2013 C3. What version of diagbox are you running Kenny?

And is your X7 older than the C3?

I would try an update to 7.58 Kenny. I’m out in town now but will send you a link to the update later if you want to give it a go just in case.

I've got the 2 discs from easy diagnostics so can upgrade to 7.58. Would it be worth going to 7.62 ?

Thanks

I would stick to 7.58 first Kenny and test that out - the 7.58 version includes the addition of the "Test by ECU" function that I think Mike was referring to.

I've found I tend to stick with the version that works with my cars as further upgrades can also introduce more issues that are then resolved in much later updates....

Excellent Marc slowly but surely I'm learning the Lexia.

Soon I'll be able to confuse other people.

Just checked my discs and I don't have versions 7.58 or 7.62. IF you could provide the link later that would be handy.
