A little progress on the vehicle over the last 2 days.

The Boxxer had its tyre repaired and is back on the road. Handy because I got sent to London in it on Friday afternoon. It's booked in on Tuesday morning to have the brakes load valve adjusted. The brakes are good but when loaded it doesn't stop very well.

It's also getting a new windscreen and the spare tyre repaired this week. I need to get the sliding door sorted too. It doesn't slide very well, I think the bearing shuttle bit that sits in the runner has collapsed. It also doesn't lock.

I found 2 more adjusters on the side of the seat which do tilt and height. Previously I found the Boxxer uncomfortable on long runs but now I've found the adjusters it's alright.

Finally it probably needs a bsi reset. It thinks it has a failed n/s indicator bulb but it doesn't. Apparently it's been like this since the mirror, which contains an indicater bulb, was replaced.

The xantia been far simpler. I fixed the 2 lhm leaks at the tank. Other than that I'm waiting for parts. I have found a spare os lower arm. The bushes are OK so I will do a straight swap if my one looks to have a worn p bush which I expect it does.

My worker crashed his car on Friday so he's scrapping it this week. I'm going to take some relays from it today to modify the headlamps and starter motor. I think my car already has the fan blowers done but I'll take a few spare relays anyway for future mods.

Just been reading through V6 Fan motor removal.
Looks like a task worth spending the morning on so I'm about to go and remove the faulty one.
I'll probably have to modify a socket but I'm hoping I already have something.

Great news Jim, very excited to be seeing you down here.

Had to give up on the radiator fan.
I got the blades off and then cut the socket too short.
Will get another cheap socket and try again.

LHM Leaks are sorted well at the tank anyway.
Went for a good run this afternoon and not a drip in sight.
Just the pump seals to go.
Bit upset the oils and sealer aren't here but it's just a weeks delay.

I think Activa Jim, it's a holiday after all.
The New Forest roads are definitely Activa territory.
Gabriel would be equally happy but I think a few days travel by Activa would be far more fun.

I've just ordered this very small socket in the hope that I don't have to make one myself. It's 20mm high so potentially a bit short but 6mm longer than my attempt which was unuseably short.
I also ordered a 3.5Bar fuel pressure regulator as recommended by Mandrake, been watching them for a while and the price was good this morning.
Finally I've been looking at adhesive for the headliner. 3m headliner aerosol glue looks to be the choice.
I'm going to get a can next week along with the pump seals.

Given I'm about twice as wide and heavy as Jim, he'd be doing a load of energy saving if he sat on my wheel in the slipstream! The reverse is not true!
