Same here... City aggression of all sorts... This place I call home is the biggest sort of place I can tolerate...
I find few know that rule. I guess a lot of walkers down your way are, what's the word?, skilled and well disciplined and walk with great enthusiasm - wrong words but I think you know what I mean - professional walkers who care about their sport for want of a better word... This is interesting as this is exactly the situation where I've witnessed the most near-misses and head-ons and indeed come close to being knocked off as a potential overtaker suddenly realises there's an impending head-on about to happen and sharply pulls back in...MikeT wrote: 12 Jul 2017, 12:05 I now regret not asking the officer to explain why he felt it would have been safe to overtake.
One such incident happened very near work and I recognised the vehicle in question as belonging to a co-worker... Jolly embarrassing for him as he was recognised by other co-worker witnesses too...
A lot of this boils down to sheer impatience on the part of the driver and their urge to be a few seconds ahead at the next congestion pinch-point!
