just been checking wires etc....funny how the injection double relay has joint lives out of it!
is there any wires under passinger side carpet that would stop the car starting?
as it seams wierd that when my passinger jumped in the car hasnt started since?
gona have a look in min
all the wireing i have checked so far is ok was just spoofed by getting a reading from the fuel pressure reg wire that goes straight to double relay...as soon as its plugged in with no power it has no resistance to the power feed bk to the ecu?

well just has a look under passinger footwell and found a few corroded wires were water has got in....worth a try but no sure if im barking up wrong tree

Somehow you've got to get it on a Lexia to see what is going on - without you are just stumbling about in the dark.... There's possibly communication from the CHP to the ECU via the passenger footwell, so you might not be as far away as it appears.

Theres no communication under any footwell.. the cph is up behind the glovebox high up and the harness from it to the ecu runs along the top behind the dash to the large conne tion plug in the top corner of the firewall below the drivers side of the windscreen.. if the key lamp goes out when the ignition is turned on then theres no issues in the car!

is it true that if you diconect the wire to the fps the ecu defaults to 450 bar?

No its most likely not to start as it has no reference to know if theres fuel present in the rail to open the injectors so id say no

ive been measuring the voltages from the conector from the ecu...1 earth 2 9v 3 5v...this does not sound right does it...signal wire is 9v to ecu somehow

I/We couldn;t tell you about what Volts should be where Taffy, none of us have needed to, having the Lexia has always been the way forward, and is no doubt the only way.. you could be forever checking and messing!

It could be something very simple, or something completely NOT where your going towards.

The wires in the passenger footwell might (only might, mind you)be for the nearside airbag ECU, which is mounted in the pillar just above the safety belt reel.

yea the wires in the footwell was the body computer...when i disconected it all the central locking went nuts

well i cleared fault codes and got 2 back
p0190 fuel pressure circuit malfuntion and glow plug circuit
ive checked what pressure switch should be seeing and mines well wrong....with conector conector 1 should be earth 2 should be signal between 0.5v and 4.5v and 3 a 5v supply
mine is 1 earth(ok) 2 nearly 9v!(NOT OK!) 3 5v (OK)
im going to check the loom now as it must be a wire suppling this 9 volt!

well just checked wireing loom and all looks ok....think my ecu might be shagged

They wont be DIRECTLY connected to the body computer, because thats located right up behind the dash JUST below the windscreen line...

possibly part of the loom to the door locks though.

its looking like ecu after all the people who have had this code.....some was a broken wire or connection others was fried ecu
well big brown plug by left foot in pas footwell was two corroded connections but not made no diff
