Haven't been down town in decades and it is a sad sight now.

Solicitors now.
When you mentioned "Town" I immediately thought of Newcastle and couldn't place where that scene could be, not to mention a street named "Khyber Pass". :-D

Quite a nice puzzle when the penny dropped it was Whitby :-D

I was bemused when I saw that post too Steve, I knew Whitby was a fair way for you to drive but I didn't realise it was in India!! :-D

And it was meant to be in the 'ghost signs' thread.

Been doing a streetview tour and it is like a foreign land.

And Khyber Pass winds its way around Spion Kop!
I have no idea why they were named so.
Seem to be no photo's of it either.

Little girl out with her mother and grandmother plodging in all the muddy puddles outside my house. Every few minutes she would be off like a hare with mother running to catch her.
The best part was mother and granny letting her but keeping a close eye on her near the road.

She is always very curious about everything whenever she passes by.

I had one of those outside my village shop tragically she did one spirt too many, ran out into the road just as a young chap pulled away in his Cortina, not much speed but enough to kill the child. :( Since then I always worry when I see a child running loose.

Surprisingly it hasn't appeared yet on Word/Phrase of the day. Top pic is a Falcon original taken July 4th 2018 at Nash, in Herefordshire I presume, but its pretty close to the Welsh Border and the state of play of that "impracticable triangle" at the time. The Original Yellow sign has either been nicked, sold, or preserved and the replacement is a shadow of its former self.

The fingerpost is somewhere just out of St Winnow and heading towards Lostwithiel in Cornwall.
