Gosh! I had to look that one up Skull... Do you have the prehensile or hammer version?

I've just bought an appliance to help with my PF... Be good to see if it works. Many of my running friends highly recommend it...

Funny thing was, immediately after I'd placed my order on Amazon my Facebook feed got saturated with ads for products (mostly quack as far as I could tell) to alleviate my pain and give a complete cure in microseconds Don't we live in an exciting hi-tech world

No one ever listens to the young guy..... Exercise is bad for you. You don't see a 40 year old advertising Revitive but you do see Ian Botham and Clare Balding.

And everybody says running is bad for your knees I'm a firm believer the massive benefits, both mental and physical, massively outweigh the small risk of injury... Mentally, it does me no end of good

And PF is not a condition exclusively confined to runners; anyone can and do get it... My neighbour tells me his elderly mother has it and she's definitely not a runner!

They are more monkey than hammer, combined with a history of ingrowing toe nails, high arches and extra width they are generally my worst feature…the NHS podiatrist said if I can walk 25 miles on them, there's not much wrong with them

Having two Jims on the MK Junior parkrun team has caused a bit of confusion in the past. We're known as Jim 1 and Jim 2 respectively. The problem was that many were not sure just which one of us was actually Jim 1 and which one was Jim 2...

This has now been solved We were both issued some new uniform today

And then the doodlers got to work...

I see your foot Skull and raise you mine...

Clad in a special boot to be worn at night in bed and at other times when feet are put up...

Early days but it appears to be helping I'm using it in combination with all the other physio directed this particular issue.

Still unable to walk very far and had to do my weekly Tesco shop on-line this week... I'll miss seeing my favourite checkout ladies

Walking 25 miles is superb Skull, that's a marathon! I bet you walk it faster than some I know run one

I did try some gel toe splints for when I sleep, to try and help straighten them out but they used to wake me up after a few hours.

Only one foot at present and I hope the other one does not get any ideas about going the same way...

I know what you mean about them waking you up. Mine did last night... Wearing that, although at the other end of my body, reminds me of the 12 weeks I spent in a neck brace!

I'm very happy to report that after lots of very intense therapy, my foot is now vastly improved to the extent I could go for a short, gentle run this morning

And not only that, I was able to get out on my bike and enjoy this pleasantly warm and sunny weather

I took the photo very close to where I was photographing the TT racing last evening...

Later, I gave all my cars their weekly checks, gave Bluebell a warming run and gave my bike a good service, including having the chain off and giving the entire drivetrain a good wash in solvent and a re-lube...

The foot remains happy

Yesterday, I managed a bit of a run whilst taking care of both my foot and being well aware the weather was the most pleasantly warmest of the year so far

The event was our running club's premier event - basically a massive social gathering with the opportunity to run as many scenic 10K laps around the best bits of Milton Keynes linear parkland as you can in 24 hours...

It was huge fun I spent far mor time socialising and talking than running. Wisdom saw me complete just one lap and my foot held up well.

Doing that I qualified for my commemorative tee, medal and towel - this time a pink one. I've now got a full set of MK24 towels

I developed a film I took at the event last evening. To show how warm it currently is, my 'cold' water was flowing from the tap at 21 degrees. Normally I have to warm the water up to 20 degrees for processing! I had to adjust the development time slightly to compensate...

I've just found a website called 'how rare is my car', by my calculations you own 12.5% of the roadworthy 1990 AXs, 1 of only 4 that are red and 1 of only 2 that are blue!!!!! I could however ease your shame by allowing you to sign Bluebell over to me without any cost to you.
