I'm hiding out in Ashford at the moment.
Nice looking HDi LX workhorse.

Indeed it is Steve. Funnily enough I saw a tidy red S2 this morning between Aylesbury and Leighton Buzzard on the A418. I was in the XM..myglaren wrote:I actually saw a Xantia this morning, a rare occurrence.
I saw a wicked red Xantia yesterday in Bletchley (still had all it's wheels). It was a W reg HDi (mine's a V) and i remember thinking how tatty it looked. Mine in comparison doesn't look bad and considering it's miles has held up very well.CitroJim wrote:Indeed it is Steve. They are becoming quite a rare spot now...

You could offer me anything VED free but if it doesn't have proper suspension I don't care.CitroJim wrote:That's actually the more surprising partChris570 wrote: still had all it's wheels.![]()
The last scrappage scheme saw a lot of scruffy Xantias off and now it's the turn of stupidly low rates of VED on so many new cars doing the same.
I was amazed to see that new C1 in our street is VED-free

And not just scruffy Xantias, as just about every Xantia is worth a lot less than the £2000 exchange given by a dealer at that point. I saw a very nice TD SX sat at a local Ford dealer with 'Scrappage' written across its windscreenCitroJim wrote:The last scrappage scheme saw a lot of scruffy Xantias off and now it's the turn of stupidly low rates of VED on so many new cars doing the same.Chris570 wrote: still had all it's wheels.
I totally and utterly agree. All of them are soul-less little wretches. £225 is not a lot for a years' worth of pleasure. I spend comfortably more than that in a year swimming...Chris570 wrote: You could offer me anything VED free but if it doesn't have proper suspension I don't care.

I suspect we have sinkier nose (not that they all are), anti-sinker and then series two ... is that the third nose?CitroJim wrote:What's a third nose Xantia Graeme?aerodynamica wrote:I just saw a silver third nose xantia
