Vin/Orga numbers,

Unread post by ActivaV6uk »

Does any one understand these? eg..
VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff] and VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff] why do they start diferently as they were both built in the same year and what info can people get out of those numbers (and I dont men by checking the specs through PR-Net). i know its suposed to be possible to tell the exact day there were made, how is this done?
Many thanks
Andy

The Vin look up got my car wrong, They say it was built in 2007
The X15DO part of the first vin number is the model type & the X11F0 part on the second vin number tells us these cars are not the same model.

x15D0 = Xantia V6 exclusive
X11F0 = Xantia Activa CT
interesting stuff, i am currently cataloging the activa net members cars (4 at the moment) what i hope to do is get most of the to submit and it will give us the ability to see what cars we have on the forum, i have also taken down the vin of all the scraped actvas i find so that i can add them to the database and show them as scrapped.
