I recon the 3rd pic might be to do with the power steering. I noticed today on the new multipoint it has a two wire connector plugged into a sensor inline if the pipe that runs from the pump to the rack.
Any clues?

metal can is a resistor not sure if it is dim/dip or rad fan speed control gegards malcolm

Some ZX had remote headlamp adjustment from the dash acording to my drivers manual (late 94)
