1.4 or TD

I am looking at getting a P-Reg'd ZX, either a 1.4i or a TD. Am going to be doing about 20,000miles in the next year on mostly fast A-roads and dual carriageways so any advice as to which would be better is more than welcome.
Am a returning Citroen user - used to have a ZX (1.4 carb Avantage - excellent car!)in 2001 and used this forum then so am looking forward to rejoining the forums.

think the 1.4 is a good car as i have a zx 1.4i and I find that its economical, fairly quick car, cheap road tax, cheap to maintain and always starts first time even when the temp was well below zero with snow and frost all over the car. And know late zx's are really cheap to buy as well.
