now engine has a lack of power and smokes when i put my foot on and off the accelerator, im thinking injectors / turbo?
I may be imagining it but i think turbo has a slight whine too?
any suggestions on diagnosis?
how hard are these to replace? do the injectors come as a set or individual piece?[B)][V] help help help

HI Nick, oil all the way along the intake tract as far back as the crankcase breather is normal, what bit are you calling the turbo vent chamber.
You will have had the intercooler off I presume so check the seal between it and the intake manifold, and check the manifold pressure compensator pipe is connected between the intercooler and fuel pump.
Injectors when required should be replaced as a matched set but at that mileage you shouldn't need any yet.

hi Dave thanks for responding the large black plastic tube tube to the right of the feul pump and in the way of 2 of the glow plugs

i guess ill have to locate and examine the intercooler behind the rad? then and check that first....

Sorry Nick my mistake, was thinking 405 with intercooler on top of the engine not 406 in front of rad, the pipe will have oil all over the inside as will the intercooler so don't worry.
The large plastic tube is the turbo outlet pipe and carries pressure of up to 15 psi, check that the small rubber pipe is connected to it and the top of the fuel pump, check also that the large rubber pipes from the intercooler are securely clipped to the plastice ones.
