Hi all
I've a clarion cd changer unit that I would like to fit to a 406. Have asked Halfords audio people whether its possible to connect this to the standard Philips 4050 CD input via a converter/adapter. They said no, but had the feeling that they didn't have a clue as they tried to sell me a new £200 system instead!!!
Anyone know if it's possible or know anyone who can make an adapter?
TIA
Les

Hi
The Clarion & Philips cd changer lead is the same, The only differences is the Philips radio needs a short lead to connect the round din end from the cd changer lead to the iso fitting on the back of the radio.
Also the two cd changers are wired diffrently so they are not a straight plug in job, It should be possible to do it, But it would be far easier to get a Philips cd changer & sell the Clarion one.
You would also need the cd changer bracket from Peugeot to mount the changer in the boot, About £15.
I tried this my self when I had a 406 GLX & ended up swopping my Clarion cd changer for a Philips one.
