HDi gearbox

Hi fellas!
My mom's C5 is sometimes had to get into 1st gear or reverse, even when the engine is at normal temperature.
What could this be? Even the importer's mechanics suck, better to DIY...
She's got 26.000kms on the clock.

1st of all make sure the clutch is adjusted ok,(if adjustable).if so the next easy step is to change the gearbox oil with the specified grade.if these two easy fixes dont sort it,the gearbox might need attention!

The clutch is hidraulic.
On my frontera the gearbox oil is SAE 20W40. What is the correct oil for this baby? How much an oil change?
