Bleeding Xantia Suspension!!

Unread post by stuartb »

Hi,
I recently changed the 4 "corner" spheres and the accumulator sphere on my 2000 Xantia HDI. Up until then, the car would stay up overnight with no problems (as I would expect with anti-sink). Ever since changing the spheres, the car is on the floor within about 2 hours!
I suspect that there is still air in the suspension system despite my efforts at bleeding it out several times (12mm bolt on the pressure regulator + repeated "citerobics"). Does anyone have a definitive solution to bleeding these systems? The car has anti-sink, but is not Hydractive.
Many thanks,
Stuart.

Stuart have you tried bleeding the brakes? The other thing to consider is that the ball bearing behind the 12mm bolt has not seated correctly. Did you by any chance undo it by several turns rather than just enough to release the pressure as this could cause it to become unseated. Options here include gently tapping on the head of the bolt and several goes at undoing/doing it up to get it reseated correctly.
