AIRCON - BX 1.7 TZD Turbo

Unread post by beano »

Now back on the Aircon problem today.
A couple of months ago "Anders(DK)" kindly provided the link for the aircon circuit diagram and cable loom layout. Since then I have traced the fault to the earth return from the aircon pressure switch on the reciever/dryer not being present.
I have managed to trace the offending cable (BROWN)back to what initially looked simular to a relay, tie wrapped to the loom, (GREAT QUALITY) behind the glove box assembly. On closer examination I found it filled to the brim the an IC and transistors and other components. This relay or control unit is numbered "3M" on the circuit diagram and the loom layout, but the diagram indicates its just a cable connector eventually going to earth/chassis. I can find no information on what or how this unit works. I have contacted my local Citroen parts dept and they think its a multi-function relay, but their not sure.
Can anybody provide any info.
Thanks

have you looked at Bob Smith's site? there's loads of information there including a 16 valve electrical layout which may be some use

Jeremy,
Thanks for the info, but unfortunately this is the site "Anders" pointed me at, which I have been using.
Thanks
