Yes - if you have your own webspace you can put them there. Use the FTP address your ISP has given you, and it's even possible to do it by dragging the file in Internet Explorer or another web browser to the FTP site.
However, don't link to someone else's picture on another website as they may end up paying for the increased traffic each time someone accesses it!
Also, make it as small a file as possible, and dont forget the <IMG> src=""</IMG> tags in your posting...
