ZX which CV boot

ZX which CV boot

ZX 1991 1.9I, I've got to replace the CV boot and want to get the boot before I start, but I'm not sure which of the 2 types I should order; groove/no groove, it is for an original shaft. Any ideas how I can tell which type I need?

I'm told by at least a couple of people including the mechanic who did one for me that you can't tell until you've got it apart!
