Jon - What's the difference ....

Unread post by arry_b »

Jon, I've been looking through the online shop and noticed that some of the part numbers are duplicated, with an "A" suffix. The "A" parts are much cheaper.
For example:
N63115 BRAKE SHOE SET-REAR ZX HATCH GIRLING SYSTEM 13.50 Add
N63115A BRAKE SHOE SET-REAR ZX HATCH GIRLING SYSTEM 4.24 Add
Do you know what the difference between these items is and are they any good?

Generally, if a GSF number ends with a A then its an "alternative", if the A number is cheaper than this means that its an alternative brand. In the case you raise the N63115 will be OE quality part such as Lucas Girling, or Bendix. The A is a pattern part in this case.
