R19 Wipers

the driver side wiper on my phase 1 r19 16v does not stop at the edge of the windscreen, and on fast mode it can go right over the edge of the car. The wiper always returns to the correct starting position though. Anyone know how to fix this annoying problem?

Check that the connecting nut where the arms fastenens to the drive is tight. first job anyhow,..
