Xantia factory stereo

Does anyone know if i CAN FIT A STEREO FROM THE FACELIFTED MODEL (MODEL PU 1562 A 4035 RDS AUDIO SYSTEM) to a 1995 pre facelifted car. Will the steering wheel controls still operate?

tried to fit it in a pre-facelifted car (the one without the hatch for the radio) and the steering wheel controls didnt work...
