LAMBDA SENSORS,
in any car fitted with either 1or 2 sensors ,it is vital that there is NO leak BEFORE sensors,ANY air leak will be picked up and fed to the ECU for fuel correction, this clio has 1 sensor just before cat which operates on closed loop system ,it has no default or limp home programme , if you disconnect sensor whilst engine running at plug under car ,you will cause system to go open loop, whereby ECU `will not respond.,you should notice difference in engine .UNDER normal conditions the system is open loop ,when cold or accelerating ,closed loop only when cruising, open loop means SENSOR IS TAKEN OUT OF CIRCUIT,if sensor were in circuit on cold engine ,car would be undrivable, because it would be trying to control rich cold mixture
Fit new dounpipe here first
