Laguna Locking / Immobiliser

Key remote has stopped opperating the central locking resulting in the immobiliser coming on. Using the key in the door doesn't work the central locking, but the button next to the handbrake locks the doors fine, but the immobiliser won't re-set.
Key battery is new, and all fuses are fine.
Running out of ideas !!!

probably the transponder in the key buggered, have you tried the spare key? if not renault will cahrge you a few bob for a new one, or you could try one of the many alarm servicing / fitting places to re key your transponder (would be about £20 or 30).

Problem solved - Had to go to a Renault dealer though !!
Decoder unit for the remote key had stopped working. Renault replacement including fault finding, fitting , and vehicle recovery £195.
Hard one to spot or fix for diy mechanics.
