Congratulations Mr Burns

Post by tomsheppard »

I have just noticed that Dave Burns has posted over 1,000 messages on this board. That is a lot of help to a lot of people. Thanks, Dave and congratulations! One thing puzzles me: when do you find time to drive your car?[:)]

Hehe thanks chaps, yeah thats a fair amount of keyboard time I suppose, hope its been a help to some folk.
Must say I was a bit concerned incase the forum software called me something even dafter than super guru, don't care for that aspect of the site one bit, seems immature to me and can't help feeling slightly ridiculed by it, how say you.

Metal guru, is it you?
In all seriousness, I think it is an acknowledgement of your wisdom rather than a mickey take. I cannot think of any more appropriate appelation. Senior Citroen Sorceror might be even less welcome

Well done Dave, good work.
I note your comments re: the ranking and stars system. I have changed the over 500 and over 1000 things to more simple ones. Guru was of course in acknowledgement of the amount of posts with great information and useful comment that you have contributed.
PS I am falling well behind with my paltry 694 posts [^]

Well if you spent less than 3 weeks in Spain, you could spend more time posting!
Alan S, I am going away for another weeks holiday this Monday!!! (Cornwall)
I shall be "keeping an eye" from there!
I have moved off topic here; the fact remains that we are very grateful to Dave Burns for his hard work over the last couple of years.
