Just giving the old thread a bit of a boot!
Look what I have dragged up from the dusty archives of POTD purely on a random selection from one of the 921 pages the thread has generated over the years....
Originally slides taken by my Dad in the 1960's, but with the assistance of a "magic lantern" and a screen, these are photographs of the screen display....and sort of appropriate for this time of year!

Last weekend rather than today, but we saw something interesting flourishing on the back of the garden
A closer view

This should be on the PE Video thread really but I believe more people get to see it here. Our foxes don't mind the rain at all!!
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!

Durham Cathedral in autumn raiment.
I was there a couple of weeks ago and this view from the air makes it clear how confusing it was walking around there. It's a rabbit warren at the best of times and the river kept appearing although I was heading away from it.

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
Spotted this H van about twenty years ago near Callender in Scotland, used as a log store. Probably long gone now.
Also spotted this sorry little vehicle around the same time abandoned at the back of a car park. Caused quite a stir on the letter pages of Classic Van and Pick-up at the time and was later identified as a Steyr Puch Haflinger.
