At least a couple of members have been hinting at the possibility of buying the new electric Renault 5 which I believe costs around £23k. I have to ask why? Just look at what you could have for £10k less:

The old R5 looks nice I wonder if it would be cheaper to find one with a blown engine and get it converted to electric. I know conversions are doable just not sure how practical it would be.

I have looked into doing a conversion on my MX3 and the total cost was just under £12k so the idea was abandoned!!

Now I've always had a soft spot for these since Top Gear's attempt to make one faster!! However this one comes with too many pedals for me so it won't be coming to Hertford:
