Our 2019 1.5 hdi 308 on 24440 miles has just started with the message Top up Adblue starting impossible (or prevented, cannot remember) 1500 miles but the engine management light is not on. So filled it up with 10 litres of Adblue as well as Wynns Crystal Clear and Protect. Surprised it needed any as it was filled 1 year 4000 miles ago but 10 litres completely filled it with only a bit of room left. I had used Wynns at the last fill so possibly it does not help.

Unfortunately the message has not cleared so is now booked in at our Peugeot dealer Pentagon Lincoln but earliest for the diagnostic is 16/11/2026. Will find out then what is wrong and if Peugeot will pay for most of it. Quite happy it has been serviced there since new, only been doing this due to the extended warranty on the cam shaft chain problem. It is only a few months since our 1.6 hdi Cactus needed expensive repairs on its Adblue system (new injector and NOx sensor). I will not buy another diesel again with Adblue, DPFs are bad enough but seem to be more reliable, or possibly not on the 1.5 hdi as ours has a sooty tail pipe.

We managed to get the diagnostic done today and it came up with U1200 and the technician reported: checked the wiring and Adblue tank found network is going dead when connected - requires a new Adblue tank.

At first we were told Stellantis would cover 80% of parts but no labour. However, on checking the technical bulletin found our fault code was not covered by the extended warranty. Our dealer is going to check further with Stellantis and will get back to us in a few days but we might have to pay the full cost of around £1000 for a new tank.

It looks as if the Wynn's crystal clear and protect may not actually do much, it has been in the car for the last 2 years and 10k miles. Similar for the Cactus for about 16k miles and 2 years and this year it needed a new Adblue injector, as well as NOx sensor but that is on 87k miles whereas the 308 is on 24k miles.

That's worrying about the Wynns Paul... I've used it religiously in my posh van...

Lets hope Stellantis do the decent thing with your fault code [-o<
