Gear shift indication

Hello,
First time joiner and my first post.

I have bought a DS3 2015 1,6VTi and have a question about the gear shift indication on the dashboard. When driving the car in D mode the gearbox shifts gear as you would expect but with an up arrow indication next to the gear selected. Why would there be an up arrow indicating time to shift as though I was in manual mode (stick/padels) when driving in automatic. In manual (stick/padels) I can see the point but not in normal D mode. Also when in 4th gear (4-speed gearbox) the up arrow next to the '4' is present, why? There aren't any more gears. Or maybe the arrows indicate something else? Or perhaps it's just the French way?

This site confirms that your beliefs are correct so it seems you have a fault in the system which keeps the indicator arrows showing when in auto. I'd suggest a start may be to do a BSi reset following the procedure below and see if the problem remains? Good luck

Thank you very much for your suggestion. Unfortunately it didn't solve the issue, still have the shift arrow when in auto mode.
