Pierre the Peugoet has an EML!

OK last Sunday my Peugeot Expert 2021 2L after owning it for 5 months & 2,000 miles threw an EML and a Service needed message. Damn!
Unfortunately I was off to Amsterdam on Monday for business and it was too late to change not only the Eurotunnel but the Green Flag Euro cover. So I phoned the AA who phoned me back, asked a few questions and then said I'd be OK. I spoke to the garage I bought it from and they'll get their mechanic to look at it. Unfortunately off to Zagreb on Monday for this week. Although that's via BA from Heathrow rather than driving (its 1008 miles!)
I bought an iCarsoft Pro plus scanner which doesn't recognise it So cannot find an error code. My old ELM327 is long dead.
Symptoms are:- STart it and after about 10 seconds up flashes the EML and Service needed lights. They stay on for ever more, until you stop and restart it, when 15 seconds on they come. Drives 100%, no issues.

I'm guessing EGR issue, pending the mechanic seeing it, any suggestions, commiserations?

It would aid you getting help by giving full details of the engine, gearbox, bodystyle and RPo number.

The RPO number should be on a label on a door pillar (which will have various other details). It should be five numbers (possibly six now) and two letters (although not always), such as 12345CJ. The numbers relate to the day (from a specific starting date) when the car started manufacture, and the last two characters (normally letters) refer to toe factory where it was made.

I just ran that through an RPO decoder, and it did not make any sense (as it said the vehicle was made in 2004!).

I would not bother guessing what is wrong until you have the fault code as it could be anything.

Those were my thoughts, running bets on what it'll be though. Hopefully the dealer I bought it from will step up and get it sorted.
