RT6 Head Unit stuck in Boot loop

Unread post by Hollywood308 »

Hello there,

My Nav screen and Music unit has failed. It's the same symptoms as I have read many times on here. Dash switch to KM/H, continuous CD Whiring, no parking sensors, no radio or bluetooth music.

I suspect that the SD card is corrupted and have been following the guide on how to do this.

My first issue is that I can't get the system to read mirascripts to copy the system data as I can't operate the screen.

My next thought is to remove and replace the SD card but I don't have the firmware to replace this with.

Does anyone know where I can find a download of this so I can avoid buying from a dealership?

Also will doing this without the settings saved work?

Many thanks for any help

I can furnish links for various firmwares.

If you've had the RT6 unit out have you looked at the various labels stuck on the case to see if one of them shows which version is fitted? The label is quite often there. Photographs would help.

Is anyone able to help with this? A bit of research has suggested that the right version of the software is V2.86

If anyone can share the firmware and also give me some advice on how to make sure it is installed, I have replaced the sd card in the unit so just need to make sure it gets the right firmware when it starts up

Many thanks

Sadly neither show what we're looking for. The best I can suggest is that you start on a lowish version number and work your way up if that doesn't work. I'll send you links to 2.37, 2.71, 2.77, 2.80 and 2.85. Check your PM in about 5 or 10 minutes. If you find you need 2.86 come back and ask for it.

Hi Paul, I have the exact same problem. Could you send me the links too please?

Check your PM. Use at own risk, etc.
