Good service from Neo Brothers and the fluid came today, so I stuck it in. This continued the trend of every one of these I have done being slightly different! Filling tube is easily accessible with the tank in the car (still managed to make a mess ). 3 nuts holding on cover - only 1 broke. Cover contained a couple of kg of accumulated crud

Reset on the computer all done via the engine ECU, and it reset the fault code and engine light automatically.

Bonus one

Quick oil change on my Sister's Sandero. This has the 1.2 Renault engine in it. Oil filter is the smallest I have ever seen - about the size of a small tea cup

Found the sump plug was inverted square - had to dig out my key that was last used on a BX >20 years ago! Even then I had to file it up a bit to make it fit.

This is the second run on the ramps, had a weep from the sump plug overnight - think I have fixed it by backing it off and putting some more PTFE on it.

C4 passed MOT today, now at 93k, put on 13k in last year. Amusingly no advisory for the front wishbone bushes - which there was last year, and the NS appears quite soft; not any mention of the OS CV joint which makes some really alarming noises under the wrong circumstances. But there was an advisory for 'under sealed at rear' - well, yeah because I put it there to keep the rust at bay!!

Amused to catch this on a video I saw this week

My Velo is EN 4251 - quite likely this one came from the same dealer in the same week in July 1929 - it's a Norton, but I don't think the dealers were tied to single marques back then. Quite the coincidence that 2 so close together have survived. Still haven't managed to get to the Velo to get it running... bit over 2 years till it will be 100 years since it was shipped (Dec 28) must find time for it before then!

Wow that alloy exhaust mount really suffered with the road salt!

My blue 308 ones were not as crusty but the rubber detached from the alloy (as yours looks to have done) they are bonded together so I guess the aluminium oxide creeps under to detach it.
I must have a look at the red 308 items as the new ones didn't get fitted to the blue 308 before it went. Tempted to paint the alloy to at least try and slow the rate of corrosion
