Unread post by ohspecial1 »

What is best choice

Both are auto/or semi

2012 for me! :)
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

Adblue faults can be expensive so you need to be sure of the actual fault diagnosis as it may not be just a tank. Our Cactus recently needed a new NOx sensor plus the exhaust section as it could not be removed and also a new injector. The exhaust bit was the most expensive part as it was repaired at a dealer, total costs were about £1500. If DIY it would have been a lot less but it needed a diagnostic to confirm the faulty parts and then one to tell the car they had been replaced. This was when nearly 10 years old, the NOx sensor had also been replaced at 3 years old but then under warranty. Adblue itself costs about £15 to cover about 10k miles and then another £10 for Wynns Crystal Clean and protect to help avoid adblue problems.

The big difference is ULEZ compliance so if you are a frequent visitor to London, Birmingham and other places that have or may introduce charging zones for cars or vans that don't meet Euro 6 the 2016/AdBlue version may be better.
