Hello,
I have a 2012 Renault Espace IV Phase 3 with the panoramic sunroof.
The right-hand spiral drive cable has become disconnected from the slider/carriage that moves the opening glass panel. The cable itself is still there and the motor is working.
I am trying to find out whether this can be repaired from above after removing the movable glass panel, without removing the headliner and without removing the complete panoramic sunroof cassette.
Does anyone know exactly how the spiral cable is attached to the slider/carriage on this mechanism?
Is it clipped, crimped, pressed into the carriage, or fixed in another way?
More importantly, once the glass panel is removed:
* Can the cable and carriage be accessed from above?
* Can the carriage be removed from the rail from above?
* Can the spiral cable be reattached to the carriage from above?
* Is removing the complete sunroof cassette really necessary for this repair?
I am specifically looking for someone who has already repaired an Espace IV panoramic sunroof with a spiral drive cable disconnected from its carriage.
Any photos of the carriage, cable connection, rail or dismantled mechanism would be extremely helpful.
Thank you!

It is not looking like anyone has anything to offer but this post will at least bring your query back to the top of the Unread Posts list and someone may see it and offer some advice . Good luck
