XSARA PICASSO 1.6 PETROL PROBLEM

Sometimes when trying to start the car it doesnt cranks but only clicks when you turn off the key and try again it starts fine.Can someone help?

If your battery is good, ie showing 12.7V with everything off, then the first thing I'd check in those circumstances would be your battery connections and earth connections from the engine to the chassis. Make sure they are corrosion free and tight. Next the fusebox plugs for corrosion and dirty pins. There are a number of possibilities for this behaviour but you have to start somewhere as I've said I would Good luck.

If the above are all ok then it could be the starter motor at fault, especially at 167k km
