Renault Captur 1.5dci (K9K 628) 2017

Unread post by samagaio89 »

Hi guys. Please if you know something even related to this please help because, frankly, i´m lost.

The complaint is that the car wont rev past 3000 rpm. Driving on the road in 1st gear the car goes full rev but after that, in 2nd gear, 3rd and far the problem is that the car accelerates fine until it gets to the 3000 rpm, then it stopped there like its a rev limiter. In park if i try to accelerate the car it wont past 3000rpm because of a safety feature. Driving the symptoms are like that.

The car do not give any trouble code whatsoever. The ECU was updated to the last map in a way that can get discard tempered unit or something done previously by someone.

I´ve already test the temperature sensors on the exhaust, i checked if the exhaust pressure pipe and sensor was ok, i checked if the throttle its ok, i checked the dpf values and there are fine too.

I´m going to try upload a video of the car driving and a diagram of some values like turbo boost and rail pressure so you can see.

By now if you tell me that the problem is the spare tyre i belive it and change it.

I have removed the PDF file you had attached because PDF's can contain hostile information so we prefer not to allow new members to post them until they have made a few posts. You mentioned a video, that cannot be uploaded directly to the forum, upload it to Youtube and then post the link to the video on here. :)
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

No problem. I didn’t know that a pdf can cause so much harm.

What was in the mentioned pdf it has 7 graphics where it shows rpm, boost pressure (read and desired), rail pressure (read and desired) coolant temperature and % of pedal. It shows that when the car tops de 3000 rpm at full throttle or not. The rail and boost read drop to where the desired is. Indicating that it’s not pressure issues.

About the video. I’ll try to upload later on YouTube and past the link here

Thanks for the understanding and apologies for doing something unexpected. Here to learn
