E crofting box connections

Hello everyone,

I have an e crofting diode box fitted to my S2 Xantia exclusive which I am not convinced is working. It came with the car so I have no install instructions. Can someone confirm (or otherwise) that the box is connected correctly - please see attached photos for reference.

black lead is the Gnd and the green and red are the positive feeds, which in this case are connected to the cable from pin 8, or 15 and the cables from Pins 1&2, respectively.

As far as I can tell, your photos show correct connections.

E Crofting was a small (1 man?) company which made a accessory box which would be fitted to an XM or Xantia with HA2 suspension to correct the (fairly frequent) failures of the flywheel diodes in the hydractive solenoids.

There are other ways of fitting replacement or backup diodes.

As far as I can tell, your photos show correct connections.

I fully concur, the two grey wires are the correct ones...

Sometimes it's hard to make a good connection into the heavy yellow/green earth wire using those e-tap connectors so check the black wire going to the e-crofting box is truly well grounded by using an ohmmeter on low ohms range.
