307cc tail lights
Here's a strange one for you. My C.T. tester (MOT in UK) pointed out that my high brightness rear fog light is on the wrong side, RH. It is supposed to be on the LH side for a French registered car. So somehow it didn't get spotted when the car was first imported here from UK. I wonder if anyone has worked knows if the side can be changed without having to buy a new pair of lights, maybe by changing the bulbs or wiring somehow. These lights cost hundreds and I really don't want to spend that sort of money on something I will be unlikely to ever use. Hell, I don't even know how to turn them on.

Re: 307cc tail lights
I've just had a look for the rear fog lights and you are right they seem ludicrously expensive. I think I'd go for something like in the link below and feed it from your existing wrong side lamp wiring and remove the bulb from that one. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/270788746453
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!

Re: 307cc tail lights
Take a look at them both and see if they are wired the same and that there is a socket in both for the rear foglight bulbs. Some are but most aren't and would require a lot of fiddling about, otherwise it may be a simple job to patch the wiring from the other side and transfer the socket over too.
Perhaps a job for an autosparky if you aren't confident.
But taking a look should be simple enough.

Re: 307cc tail lights
Thanks guys. I will dive into it and take a look at both sides, and how they are wired. I am happy to run feeds from one side to the other if it is that simple. Thank you both for your input. It will stimulate the brain to find an answer.

Re: 307cc tail lights
LHD and RHD tail lights have different part numbers, so probably no bulb holder for a fog light on the left hand side.
For the purpose of a CT, you could fit an after-market accessory light under the bumper.

I am stuffed without access to a master Peugeot parts list at the moment. I have had one delivered to a friend in UK. He's bringing it over in October. I can then do some research. Thanks for your comments. Its all helpful.

Re: 307cc tail lights
Looking in handbooks the reversing light and fog light are both P21W bulbs so the same. You can get red P21W bulbs so possibly you could fit one of those in the reversing light position so it acts like a fog light and then link a wire across from the other side.

Re: 307cc tail lights
Reversing lights are also tested for e CT, so that is only moving the problem.

Re: 307cc tail lights
If one of the lenses is clear and the other red then it could be new/second hand lights will be needed as if using the red nearside with a clear bulb in it and linking a reverse wire across would not work as a reversing light. If a red bulb works behind a clear lens as the fog light, then it would only be necessary to replace the nearside light so it has a clear lens for the reversing light.
If the light stalk is like our Citroens and Peugeot, then to turn on the fog lights the second rotary switch on it is turned to put on the fog lights, first position does the fronts and second the rear one. The reversing light comes on when the gear lever is put in reverse.

Re: 307cc tail lights
That’s how my 307SW light stalk works. It’s also how both of my 406s, my 306 cabriolet, and my wife’s 3008 light stalks all work. I’d say that it’s a good chance that the 307CC will work the same way.PaulC5 wrote: 24 Aug 2026, 11:28 If the light stalk is like our Citroens and Peugeot, then to turn on the fog lights the second rotary switch on it is turned to put on the fog lights, first position does the fronts and second the rear one. My C5s were the same, the current Mazda and it's predecessor were both like this, but the other way up, i.e the 12 O'clock position retracts the mirrors.ozfrog wrote: 25 Aug 2026, 06:30That’s how my 307SW light stalk works.
