Citroen c5 2008 1.6 hdi

Unread post by Pepe autotechnics »

Hi I have a Citroen c5 1.6 hdi 2008 and the right hand rear indicator is not working I found the earth melted on the bulb holder so I have fitted the earth mod to the bulb holder with a separate new earth and now the rear lights on the right hand work ok but the indicator still not working, the wiring seems to be ok from what I can see without a wiring diagram, but from memory the signal comes from the Bsi when I unplugged the Bsi and reconnected the indicator started working after a while when I put the rear light clusters back on the car and refitted some trims I went to check again and the right rear indicator stopped working again, I carried out a reset procedure and still not working I unplugged the Bsi again and it worked again so I can assume the wiring is ok but I think it’s a problem with the Bsi!! What do you think??

It sounds like it, You need to run a global scan and see what fault codes come up :)
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

Do a full Bsi reset, the warning does not always clear when the fault is repaired.
Had this with a blown bulb on my neighbours Picasso. The reset fixed it.

Done a full reset on the Bsi and fault came back twice, now disconnected the whole Bsi and left for a few minutes then reconnected everything and cleared all the faults and seems to be working now!! Fingers crossed!! Thanks for your input if I have further problems I will update this post. 👍👌
